Founding of the engineering works Bernard van Lengerich (BvL) as a blacksmith and wagon maker in Emsbüren

Change from a smithy to a medium-sized, family-run company in the agricultural sector

 

1989

Founding of BvL Oberflächentechnik GmbH as a 100% subsidiary of the Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG

Products cover the entire range of parts cleaning with water from top loaders, straight-through systems and spray flood systems to cycle systems and special systems.

 

1994

The expertise certificate for specialist firms according to par. 19 (I) WHG (German Water Resources Act) is confirmed

 

2001

BvL achieve certification to EN ISO 9001

 

2003

Move to the new production building

Opening of the technology centre for washing trials

 

2004

Internationalisation leads to the creation of the export department

 

2005

Certification to VDA 6.4 “Production goods”

 

2006

The production area is doubled with the construction of extension building II

Ultrasound is added to the cleaning range

 

2007

BvL produce their own vacuum dryers

 

2008

BvL innovation: bath contamination display “Libelle” becomes a European patent

Libelle measuring technology is developing further:

  • Libelle Fluid Control for monitoring bath contamination becomes a standard feature of all basket cleaning systems
  • Libelle Oil Control measures oil content in the medium
  • Libelle Oil Control Solo measures film contamination on the component surface
  • Libelle Data Control documents process parameters

 

2012

“Simply Saving Energy”: BvL develops four energy saving packages for cleaning systems

 

2013

Extensive range of services requires expansion of the production area

New BvL development towards intelligent cleaning systems: Libelle Cleaner Control automatically monitors cleaning agent concentration

 

2014

25th anniversary of BvL Oberflächentechnik

BvL is the technological leader in the field of process monitoring and documentation:

  • Libelle Fluid Control becomes a standard feature of all BvL cleaning systems

 

2015

New product-line "Geyser" for high-pressure deburring on workpieces with the highest requirements for safety and cleanliness

New technology in the drying process: process-controlled vacuum dryer ensures time savings and safety

Expansion of the site in Emsbüren to create more production capacities due to greatly increased business volume: construction of the third production building

 

2016:

Smart Cleaning: Innovative apps ensure transparent process information and automated control of the cleaning system

Special system concepts for cleaning in railway maintenance: even the most stubborn contaminations are reliably removed from bogies, bearings, electric motors, wheelsets and other railway components.

 

2017:

The environmentally friendly work of BvL is certified: management system DIN EN ISO 14001: Successfully implemented in 2015 and therefore outstanding in industry comparison

Highest award “outstanding” as supplier of Deutsche Bahn

Especially for cleaning requirements in foundries and hardening shops, the Niagara and Yukon cleaning systems offer maximum efficiency for integration into the production process.

 

2018:

Further development of intelligent cleaning solutions of railway components in production and maintenance

Start of construction for expanding production and administration in Emsbüren
