Intelligent system technology ensures delivery capacity, facilitates decisions and supports maintenance

Systems for recording, controlling and monitoring objects and data in production processes offer great value to mechanical engineering and plant engineering companies. Networked, intelligent machines allow preventive maintenance based on real time data, providing clear advantages for the companies in the form of more efficient production planning and coordination. This directly results in an accordingly longer service life, higher availability of the machines, increased productivity and prevention of unplanned, costly downtimes.

With the same objective, BvL Oberflächentechnik GmbH is developing a system for intelligent recording, processing and use of data of the respective cleaning system, following the Smart Cleaning concept. A sensor system integrated into the system, for example, records the wear of critical machine components in good time and transfers the information to a software platform. This platform analyses the real time data so potential malfunctions can be identified or predicted in time. The objective is to optimise the maintenance plan for the team of service engineers to allow targeted personnel planning.

The Smart Cleaning apps, such as the cleaning management or the data logger, are under consistent further development. BvL also offers a corresponding technology update for existing cleaning systems. This can be integrated into compact standard machines as well as into complex systems which combine different cleaning processes and are individually tailored to the specific customer requirements.

In the course of the increasing level of automation, communication from machine to machine is also becoming an important factor. BvL adapts suitable networking solutions to the individual situation and to customer requirements with regard to the downstream and upstream stations in the production process. In addition, remote maintenance facilitates and supports handling for customers from a production and maintenance point of view.

At the Parts2Clean trade fair in Stuttgart from 24 to 26 October 2017, BvL Oberflächentechnik GmbH will be presenting the options offered by the Smart Cleaning concept with regard to preventive maintenance.
